SISTER MY SISTER

This is for ALL my sisters; especially the one who celebrates her birthday on the 6th. Please keep in mind & heart: SISTER is UNIVERSAL. Happy Birthday to all you Aquarians & Happy Day to everyone!

SISTER MY SISTER

Flesh of my flesh. Blood of my blood.
Be it night, or be it day,
Whenever blackness tries to darken my way,
You are there,
Carrying crosses meant for me to bear.
Sleighing dragon meant for me to greet,
Acting lamp, unto my feet.
SISTER MY SISTER.
Giving sight when I am blind;
Direction when I seek to find,
Peace in my heart & Rhythm to life
Freedom from struggle and strife,
Safety from doom & dread,
A watchful EYE above my head.
SISTER MY SISTER
Muse of Beauty, Kindness & Fun,
In my heart, second to none.
GATE-KEEPER of lock and key
To common wisdom. Endearing mystery.
Fire to ice. Deepest earth, highest sky,
A raging wind propelling me to fly.
SISTER MY SISTER.
Know that each sunrise as each sunset
Brings with it a "No-Can-Lose" Bet:
You're never alone. Time cannot blister,
The LOVE you have from
SISTER YOUR SISTER

deslily, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. i've had a little trouble getting back in to blogs, etc. i finally spoke to the Dragon, my go-to-guy,and hopefully this will work. i'm glad you enjoyed the poem, orignally written for my sister;but it's applicable to ALL. After i find out if this is going to work, i'll go back to some of the entries i made in response to your previous blogs;especially the one about memorable characters. Love&Peace, micki

There's nothing like sisterhood!

I recently established contact with a brother and sister that I haven't seen in over 20yrs. The reunion was both emotional and exciting...to say the least.

Growing up as an only child, I established a friendship with a person who has no blood relation to me--yet she's my sister...and so now...I have two.

Wonderful Poem...

Maybe the whole fam should get one big blog book with poems and short stories....you all are a talented bunch!

love ya...
